Queer Translation Caucus Gathering

The Queer Translation Caucus (QTC) was reconvened during ALTA47 as a space for literary translators (LGBTQIA+ and allies) who practice queer translation. The purpose of the caucus is to foster a support network for queer translators and facilitate conversation about queer translation practices. While allies who practice queer translation are welcome to join, the caucus will be centered on queer translators. Come and share ideas, questions, and requests for what we could do together and how we can support each other. We will also discuss ways to stay in touch and how to make the management of the caucus sustainable.

If you haven’t joined the caucus before, you can do it in advance on ALTA’s website at https://literarytranslators.org/about/who-we-are/, or just show up! This gathering is free and open to the public, whether or not you’re registered for the ALTA conference.
