Antigone Books was named for Sophocles’ heroic character Antigone, a symbol of female strength known for defying the laws of the king to stand by her morals. We are an independent (and 100% solar-powered) bookstore. We carry excellent books for all ages, plus a large selection of gifts and cards. Voted Tucson’s best independent bookstore by the Tucson Weekly, we are located in Tucson’s unique 4th Avenue shopping district.
