Submit to Small Planet: Speculative Fiction in Translation

Small Planet: Speculative Fiction in Translation is a magazine focused on SFT, with a particular interest in foregrounding translators and their work. Translators are invited to submit short or long pieces to the magazine about everything from an interesting translation conundrum they’ve recently encountered to a short essay on what it’s like to translate from a particular language/a particular author, etc. You can find the magazine issues here.

The first issue included an interview with a Spanish-to-English translator, as well as a piece by an author on self-translating his poetry. Issue #2 will include an interview with a Korean-to-English translator pair and a piece by Jay Boss Rubin on translating Swahili speculative fiction.
