Translation in Education The Classroom and Beyond
Translation in Education The Classroom and Beyond
This panel discusses outreach initiatives that bring translation and world literature to students and teachers beyond the MFA.
What are the broader applications of translation in educational settings? How do initiatives like Words Without Borders Campus and the Center for the Art of Translation’s Poetry Inside Out, among others, center translation in the classroom? How can they foster interest in translation, and in international literature and cultural exchange in general, in the broader community? This panel will be of interest to those who teach translation, and anyone concerned with promoting the practice of translation in a range of contexts.
