The following is a call-out from Rachel Hildebrandt, who is spearheading a new initiative to bring in greater collaboration with libraries around the country:
Every one of us has had amazing experiences in the wonderful world of libraries, whether that has been through finding books we ended up loving or through the extraordinarily helpful guidance offered by knowledgeable librarians. The Global Literature in Libraries Initiative is currently exploring ways in which we can help librarians raise the visibility of international literature in the library context. We are working on some great ideas, but we would like to hear from you, too. Have you been involved in any particularly successful / positive collaborative endeavors with librarians? If so, please post a response here in the comments section, or email her at rehildebrandt@gmail.com. We’d love to benefit from your insights and ideas!
