The 2022 Sheikh Zayed Book Award, one of the Arab world’s most prestigious literary prizes, is now open for submissions!

Authors, translators, publishers and universities can nominate works in nine different categories, including a translation category.

Winners are awarded a career-changing cash prize, and titles shortlisted for select categories can also apply for translation funding.

Previous winners include Dame Marina Warner (UK), Amin Maalouf (France), Banipal Magazine (UK), Professor Philip Kennedy (US), Institut du Monde Arabe (France), novelist Iman Mersal (Egypt) and Dar Al Jadeed publishing house (Lebanon).
