Dear friends,
We recognize that the issues of access laid bare by the COVID-19 pandemic persist and that making our organization accessible both on- and offline must continue to be at the forefront of our aims to increase access, equity, and inclusion for all members of the ALTA community.
The enclosed survey has three goals: to gather comprehensive data about the d/Deaf, disabled, and/or neurodivergent translators who are or would like to be in community with us; to help us measure the areas in which our efforts to increase access, equity, and inclusion for these translators have been most effective thus far; and to gauge where we might direct more of our efforts going forward. If you are a d/Deaf, disabled, and/or neurodivergent translator, then by completing this survey, you’ll be helping us to understand the access needs of both present and potential members of our community. You do not need to be a current ALTA member to complete the survey.
The survey is anonymous and all questions are optional. It should take you around 7 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until Friday, October 20.
With gratitude and best wishes,
