ALTA is delighted to announce that submissions for the Annual Alexis Levitin Bilingual Reading Series are open! The Bilingual Reading Series runs throughout the conference with readings held on- and off-site during the day and evening hours. Readers are organized into sessions during which each reader has a strict 12 minutes to present their work, at least a portion of which must be in the original language.

Participation in the Bilingual Readings Series is competitive and exclusive, with just over 50% of applicants accepted each year. In keeping with this year’s conference theme, Sight and Sound, proposals for excerpts of translations of graphic literature, to be read with accompanying projections, are especially encouraged.
