In 2021, ALTA offered a virtual and an in-person conference. If you would like to view recordings of all virtual ALTA44 conference sessions, you have the option to purchase a $50 recordings-only "registration" to gain access to the passcode required to view session recordings on ALTA's Crowdcast channel. Crowdcast passcodes are only for paying registrants, but a few recordings are free and available to the public (you'll just need to input your email address).

At ALTA, we recognize that guidelines around COVID-19 may change as the public health situation fluctuates. Please refer to this web page for our most recent guidelines, updated on 9.27.21 to include proof of vaccination or a negative test.
Refunds:
We understand that at this stage in the COVID-19 pandemic, it might be difficult to make plans for the fall. In light of this, ALTA is making a change for this year: we will now allow refunds and exchanges to conference registration. Cancellations received on or before October 31, 2021 will be refunded less a 15% processing fee. No refunds will be issued after November 1. Email ALTA staff at info@literarytranslators.org if you would like to make changes to your registration to the ALTA44 conference.
COVID-related cancellations:
Attendees should stay home or stay in their hotel room in Tucson if they have tested positive for COVID-19, are waiting for COVID-19 test results, have COVID-19 symptoms, or if they have had close contact with a person who has tested positive for or who has symptoms of COVID-19. If you aren’t feeling well or aren’t sure, please stay home! We are happy to refund registration fees due to COVID-related cancellations, including cancellations after the above-mentioned November 1 deadline (and through Saturday, November 14). If this applies to you, please email ALTA staff at info@literarytranslators.org.
Combo Pay-it-Forward Rate: The first 50 people who registered at the Combo Pay-it-Forward rate will receive a limited edition broadside printed by the University of Arizona Letterpress Lab!
All conference registrations must be purchased online with a credit or debit card. We do not accept checks, cash, or PayPal.
After purchasing conference registration, if you decide you would like to upgrade your level, please contact us at info@literarytranslators.org.
We welcome everyone to our conference and are committed to making our programming and events accessible, and to making arrangements that allow all attendees to participate in the conversation. Learn more about accessibility at ALTA44. Contact: Kelsi Vanada, ALTA Program Manager
