Bento Books is a publishing compall specializing in translations of Japanese fiction. Bento Books was founded to bring contemporary Japanese fiction to new audiences with an emphasis on titles overlooked by traditional publishers. Japan is a cultural juggernaut, yet the vast majority of its novels and manga remain inaccessible to the English-speaking world. New Issues Poetry & Prose, a nonprofit, university-based publisher, was established in 1996 by Editor Herbert S. Scott. New Issues publishes eight to twelve new titles each year with a focus on contemporary poetry. New Issues Poetry & Prose is the sponsor of two poetry prizes, each offering a $2,000 award and publication. The New Issues Poetry Prize is an award given to a first book of poems. New Issues also sponsors the Green Rose Prize in Poetry, an award given to a collection of poems by a poet who has previously published one or more volumes of poetry. New Issues publishes the AWP Award Winner in the novel.

BOA Editions, Ltd., a not-for-profit publisher of poetry and other literary works, fosters readership and appreciation of contemporary literature. By identifying, cultivating, and publishing both new and established poets and selecting authors of unique literary talent, BOA brings high quality literature to the public. Support for this effort comes from the sale of its publications, grant funding, and private donations.

Paragon Book Reprint Corp. was incorporated in 1963 in New York City with an emphasis on reprinting books in Asian philosophy. In 1981, the International Cultural Foundation purchased the compall and expanded it to a mid-size publishing house to support religious scholars, philosophers, social theorists, and scientists writing on issues affecting contemporary life, and began doing business as Paragon House. In 1996, the main office moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2006, ownership was transferred to Professors World Peace Academy.

Ariadne Press was established in 1988 with the premise that Austrian literature is unique and deserves its own identity within the framework of German literature. Its aim is to spread the idea of an Austrian image to wider public awareness by making literature available to the reading public in general. Even highly recognized authors in Austria and Germall are often virtually unknown in the United States. Ariadne Press specializes in translations of established and new authors; biographies and autobiographies; as well as scholarly works that provide a larger context and help make the major figures of Austrian literature from the 19th and 20th centuries accessible to an English-Speaking audience. It wishes to retain the level of a university press in terms of quality of literature and translation but at the same time provide readers at large with names and ideas they never would have encountered.

To advance knowledge of the contemporary state of communities on the Tibetan Plateau and support the overall effort to ensure the continuity and development of Tibetan culture, people, and places, Trace Foundation engages with individuals and organizations undertaking research to assess the current needs of Tibetan communities, particularly as they relate to minority education, minority-language issues, development models, environmental protection, local histories, and modernization versus traditional knowledge.
